    OneWeb Technologies highly proficient, professional staff is led by a management team that boasts more than 150 years’ experience in the satellite communications industry. OneWeb Technologies senior executives have led many successful programs to meet the complex networking requirements of global multinational corporations and major U.S. government agencies.

    Kevin Steen

    Chief Executive Officer

    A recognized leader in the satellite industry, Mr. Steen most recently served as CEO of iDirect, a market leading ground segment technology provider for commercial products and the U.S. Department of Defense. Upon stepping into the role as CEO in 2017, he oversaw the company’s revenue and market share doubling in size through organic and inorganic growth strategies.

    Mr. Steen has more than 20 years of experience in technology business development and operating executive positions. Previously, he was Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions at SAP Americas, where he participated in strategic M&A activities. Steen holds an MBA from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Denver. He sits on several boards in a financial and operations advisory capacity.

    Mr. Steen is known for his strong customer relationships, successful track record in balancing strategy against execution, and enthusiasm for developing exceptional leadership teams. He said his “focus has always been on providing customers with the technology innovation and the tireless support they need to thrive in an exciting and rapidly expanding market.”

    Steve Perreault

    Chief Financial Officer

    Steve Perreault joined OneWeb Technologies as Chief Financial Officer in January 2022, after more than 17 years at the global news, information and software industry leader, Thomson Reuters, where he most recently was Head of Mergers & Acquisitions Strategy. Mr. Perreault held several Finance and Strategy leadership roles at Thomson Reuters, with responsibility for capital allocation, financial planning & analysis, financial systems, and corporate strategy. He also served as general manager of two information & software businesses where he led double-digit revenue growth.

    Mr. Perreault is a veteran of the US Navy, having served 5 years as a submarine warfare officer on USS Atlanta and USS San Francisco.

    He earned an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.

    Ian Canning

    Chief Operating Officer

    Ian Canning has more than 30 years’ experience in the global satellite communications and telecommunications industries. He joined OneWeb Technologies as Chief Operating Officer in January 2012. In this position, he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Company along with leading the development of the innovative solutions OneWeb Technologies brings to market.

    Prior to joining OneWeb Technologies, Mr. Canning held many senior management positions for Stratos Global Corp., the leading global provider of advanced mobile and fixed-site remote communications solutions. He was responsible for Stratos’ global product and marketing portfolio, generating more than $700 million from advanced remote communications solutions, including the Stratos Advantage range of value-added services.

    Positions held during his tenure at Stratos included Vice President, Global Product Marketing (2010-11), Vice President, Marketing and Product Management (2007-10), Stratos’ Managing Director, EMEA and Vice President, Sales (2004-07), and Director, EMEA and Asia (1999-2001).

    In addition, Mr. Canning’s experience includes posts with other leading players in the commercial satellite communications industry. From 2001-03, Mr. Canning served as Director, Business Development EMEA and later as Director, Sales EMEA for Iridium Communications Inc. From 1995-99, Mr. Canning served as Manager, Partnership Program for Inmarsat. From 1983-99, he held senior sales positions with a variety of electronics and telecommunications companies, including Nortel Networks, Motorola Codex, and Racal Datacom.

    Mr. Canning earned an MBA from London’s Greenwich School of Management.

    James “J.J.” Shaw

    Chief Commercial Officer

    James “J.J.” Shaw is responsible for the strategy and delivery of OneWeb Technologies government solutions. In this role, he leverages 21 years of experience in space systems operations, national security satellite systems, information assurance, and cybersecurity for both military and commercial satellite systems.

    Mr. Shaw brings a wealth of expertise to OneWeb Technologies having previously led the development and delivery of products and solutions to meet the need of government markets and customers. Most recently, Mr. Shaw was Vice President, Information, Security and Operations and Facility Security Officer (FSO) for Telesat U.S. Services, LLC. Prior to that he was Vice President, Government Operations and Product Development, O3b Networks Government Solutions. He also previously served as the Director, North America and Global Naval Programs, and Vice President, Product Development, at Inmarsat Government Solutions, and as an independently consultant to the commercial space and financial investment industries.

    A retired officer from the U.S. Navy, Commander Shaw was operationally deployed multiple times, including Desert Shield/Desert Storm on USS Ranger (CV-61). He also served on the Joint Staff as the Deputy, Intelligence Task Force for the Year 2000 (Y2K). In his last assignment, he served as the Branch Head of Satellite and Tactical Communications for the Chief of Naval Operations Staff for Information Warfare/Command and Control Directorate (OPNAV N6) at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., where he led the Naval Fleet Communications team.

    Mr. Shaw holds his Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology from the University of California, a Master of Science in Systems Technology (Space Systems Operations) from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies (with Distinction) from the Naval War College. He earned his commission as an Intelligence Officer, through the Aviation Officer Candidate School.

    Joseph Uglialoro

    General Counsel and Secretary

    Joe joined OneWeb Technologies in May 2021 in connection with the acquisition by OneWeb to lead the legal team and establish the proxy agreement. Mr. Uglialoro has over 20 years of Government Contracting experience in various roles, such as General Counsel, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer. In addition to oversight of the legal function, his responsibilities have included leading Contracting, Procurement, Security and Human Resources teams.

    Prior to joining OneWeb Technologies, Mr. Uglialoro spent considerable time in the commercial Telecommunications sector, including working for global companies such as France Telecom, PSINet, and Intelsat General.

    He has held the position the position of Law & Policy Advisor on the AFCEA Bethesda Chapter Board since 2008. From 2013 to 2016, Mr. Uglialoro served in support of an appointed member to the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee.

    Mr. Uglialoro studied accounting at James Madison University to earn a B.B.A., and earned his Juris Doctorate degree from The Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, D.C.

    Danielle Dash

    Human Resources Manager

    Mrs. Dash comes to OneWeb Technologies with over 30 years of personnel, office, and project management experience as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Coast Guard and a small business owner.

    Prior to joining OneWeb Technologies, Mrs. Dash was the business manager for a growing team in Northern Virginia, expanding the team by 30% and increasing sales by 25%. As a small business owner she provided her clients with full service office management including scheduling, bookkeeping, project and subcontractor management, and employment compliance services.

    Prior to starting her own business, Mrs. Dash served 22 years in the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. While in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve she served on active duty supporting the response to the 2010 Haitian earthquake that devastated the Port Au Prince harbor. Managing an in country team of first responders providing humanitarian aid, the Coast Guard, along with other U.S. and international agencies, were able to reconstitute the port and reopen it to trade within 30 days. The same year, she supported response operations when the offshore MODU Deepwater Horizon exploded and pumped oil into the Gulf of Mexico for 3 long months. She supported the effort to clean up and stem the flow of oil by managing the critical resources needed for the operation, and managed the outpouring of new technology offered by domestic and international partners in the clean-up effort.

    She earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Government from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut and hold a Masters of Science Degree in Education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. She is a certified HR professional.
